The LG25 is the gear motor we choose when the job is small and the space around the vent is tighter still. At 20 Nm and 4.5 kg it sits at the light end of the DGT gear motor series, and it is aimed at orangeries, small glasshouses, lean-to structures and compact screen systems where a larger drive simply will not fit.
Inside, a helical gear stage drives a self-locking worm gear. The helical stage keeps the motor smooth and quiet with very little vibration, while the worm stage holds a vent or screen exactly where it stopped, even when the power is cut. A mechanical limit switch is built in, so the output shaft stops at the same point every cycle. It is simple to set and can be supplied for 15, 20 or 50 rotations between end positions.
Capacity is matched to its size: DGT rates a single LG25 to pull up to 10 m of polycarbonate vent or 7 m of glass. Beyond that, we step up to one of the larger motors in our DGT climate control range. It runs from a standard 1 x 230 V supply, and the closed gearbox needs no routine servicing. A drill coupling for 1 inch inner pipe and the mounting console are included, a profile coupling can be fitted instead, and the motor can be wired to an MR906 motor relay for manual operation.
