The LG120 is our everyday choice for vent and screen drives in smaller greenhouses. It sits in the middle of the DGT gear motor series, with 60 Nm single-phase and 120 Nm three-phase versions, and it is built around a compact housing that is easy to fit where space is limited. In the larger installations we design, the same housing is available at higher torque as the LG240.
What sets it apart is the layout. The electric motor runs parallel to a through-going output shaft, and the aluminium gearbox offers three mounting faces, so the unit can be fixed horizontally, vertically or at an angle, directly to the gutter or onto a base plate. An inverted version is also available, which helps when two motors are mounted as a pair. The limit switch is geared directly to the output shaft and adjusts to the number of rotations your vent or screen needs.
DGT rates it to drive up to 50 m of polycarbonate vent or 40 m of glass. Self-locking worm gearing holds the vent in position if power is lost, and a threaded hole in the motor lets us open or close vents by hand before the electrics are connected. A 1000 Ohm potentiometer can be fitted for position feedback, and chain or profile couplings attach to the output shaft. Output speeds of 1.1, 3.3, 3.5 and 6.8 RPM let us match rack length or screen duty.
There is also a variant for connection to the Sempleta analogue climate control: a 60 Nm, 3.3 RPM, single-phase unit offered as a right-hand or left-hand gear. We specify and fit both versions as part of our DGT climate control installations, as main UK distributor for DGT by Senmatic.
