The AMI Penta is the fertigation computer for serious scale: nurseries, garden centres and commercial glasshouses running many irrigation zones that each need their own feed, EC and pH. Where the Simplex covers three groups, the Penta controls up to one hundred, each with individual start conditions, drawing on twenty fertilizer recipes and up to two hundred valves, thirty per group and nine running simultaneously.
Everything is managed from a large 10.1-inch touch screen with multi-language support, and the software comes all-inclusive, with no per-feature licensing. Six time zones per day each carry their own watering strategy, supported by sun integrator, drain control, volume control, frost protection and full weekly programming. Fresh and return water can be blended by percentage ratio, with up to eight return-water basins individually controlled.
The Penta is modular: choose two to five dosing units on the small model (130 L mixing tank) or two to eight on the large (350 L), with one or two Grundfos main pumps. Inline flow runs from 10 to 64 m3/h, and the AMIGO injector system extends that to 200 m3/h for high-volume sites. A bio-venturi upgrade turns the same unit into a bio mixer whenever you need it, and SuperLink connects it all to your PC for data and central control.
Water quality and uptime get their own engineering. Where rain or return water is in use, automatic filter cleaning rinses the incoming filters to a schedule — and with up to three filters fitted, watering carries on while each one is cleaned. The Senmatic Intelligent Irrigation Program (SIIP) starts irrigation from actual crop conditions rather than the clock, EC can track solar radiation through the day, and absolute and relative EC/pH alarms plus flow alarms watch every batch that leaves the tank.
There is also a route in for growers with an existing, well-maintained mixer: the AMI Penta controller can be retrofitted to older DGT or third-party fertigation hardware, bringing the software, recipes and alarms up to current standard while reusing the mechanics you already own. Add the DGT On the Go gateway and the mixer reports to your phone from anywhere.
