Product details
Tunnels have different needs from a conventional glasshouse, and the LCC1 Tunnel is the DGT computer set up specifically for them. It shares the straightforward line-based display and function keys of the LCC1, developed with professional nurseries, but its outputs are arranged around how tunnels are actually ventilated and run.
The key difference is the built-in relays for one to four gear motors, intended for ventilation systems and fitted with overload switches. That means you can wire up to four vents straight to the computer, and operate each gear motor manually from the unit when you need to open or close by hand. A tunnel fan output sits alongside them, so the same controller handles forced ventilation as well as the vents themselves.
The rest of the channel list covers one heating valve (with one heating step), one screen, one irrigation valve, an emergency input and one alarm output. Day and night time zones carry separate temperature and humidity settings, with maximum humidity control. A daily forced closure of the vents can be set for a chosen period, and you can switch the display language quickly. Several LCC1 Tunnel computers can be networked and share one weather station, with wind speed and direction supplied as standard and rain and light sensors available to add.
Where the standard LCC1 suits nurseries and orangeries, this is the model we specify for polytunnel growing, where vent motors and a fan are the main climate tools. Sitetech sets up, installs and supports each LCC1 Tunnel as main UK distributor for DGT by Senmatic, including the motor wiring and the weather station.
